1. Information We Collect

When you use Ginie.io, we collect:

  • Account information: Email address and name (via Clerk authentication)
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Polar.sh — we never store your card details
  • Usage data: Video prompts, generated content, and platform usage statistics
  • Technical data: Browser type, IP address, and device information for analytics
  • Connected social account data: When you choose to connect a YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram account, we receive OAuth access/refresh tokens and basic account details (such as channel/account name and ID) needed to publish content you create and, where applicable, to show you your own performance analytics. We request only the permissions required for these features.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our video generation services
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To publish videos to your connected social accounts — only when you explicitly request it
  • To display analytics for your own connected channels (e.g. views, watch time)
  • To communicate with you about your account and service updates
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve platform performance

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use data obtained from connected social accounts for advertising or any purpose other than providing the features you requested.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Clerk — Authentication and user management
  • Polar.sh — Payment processing (Merchant of Record)
  • Google / YouTube — Publishing to and reading analytics from your own YouTube channel (see Section 4)
  • TikTok — Publishing to your own TikTok account (see Section 4)
  • Meta (Instagram / Facebook) — Publishing to your own Instagram Business/Creator account (see Section 4)
  • Google Analytics — Website analytics
  • Cloudflare — CDN and security
  • AI providers — Video, image, and voice generation

4. Social Media Connections & Publishing

Connecting a social account is always optional and initiated by you through each platform’s official OAuth consent screen. We publish content to a connected account only when you explicitly click to publish a specific video. You can disconnect any account at any time from your Ginie settings, which deletes the stored tokens on our side.

YouTube

Ginie’s use of information received from YouTube API Services adheres to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. By connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your data is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

With your permission we access your channel list (to let you choose where to publish), upload videos you choose to publish to your own channel, and read your own video analytics to display them inside Ginie. You can revoke Ginie’s access to your Google/YouTube data at any time via the Google security settings page.

TikTok

With your permission we publish videos you create to your own TikTok account and read basic profile information. We use the TikTok Content Posting API in accordance with TikTok’s Developer Terms. You can disconnect at any time from your Ginie settings and revoke access in your TikTok account settings.

Instagram (Meta)

Instagram publishing requires an Instagram Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. With your permission we publish videos you create to your own connected Instagram account using the Instagram Graph API. We do not access your direct messages or content beyond what is required to publish. You can disconnect at any time from your Ginie settings and remove Ginie under your Facebook/Instagram “Business Integrations” settings.

How connection tokens are protected

OAuth tokens for connected accounts are encrypted at rest and used only to perform the actions you request. They are never shared with other users or third parties.

5. Limited Use of Google User Data

Ginie’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it except as necessary to provide the user-facing features you request, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger/acquisition with equivalent protections.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated videos are stored for 30 days after creation. Connected-account tokens are retained until you disconnect the account or delete your Ginie account.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

  • Disconnect a social account from your Ginie settings — this immediately deletes the stored OAuth tokens for that platform.
  • Delete your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account.” We will permanently delete your data within 30 days.

You may also revoke Ginie’s access directly with each platform via your Google, TikTok, or Meta account settings.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how our platform is used. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings.

10. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and encryption at rest for sensitive credentials such as social-account tokens. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel.
